Children’s Services.

Empress Social Care provides High Level Family Support for children and young people with disabilities and/or complex needs. Our service delivery model is based on intensive, targeted interventions designed to support families who are experiencing significant challenges that may place the child or family at risk of breakdown, harm or escalation in needs. Through collaboration with healthcare professionals, families and the community, we create a supportive environment that fosters stability, growth and independence.

Support plans are developed in collaboration with young people and families, ensuring their preferences and goals lead to positive outcomes. As part of this we carry out an assessment of family relationships and current behaviour management techniques.

We have assisted families in managing challenging behaviours linked to conditions including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and mental health difficulties.  We engage social workers to support complex case management and local safeguarding teams for joint delivery and mentoring opportunities. Our DSL attends the Local Safeguarding Partnership briefings and training and has specialist knowledge of disability and high-risk family support.

We offer family support in the home and community to prevent placement breakdown, developing structured routines around daily living, sleep, eating, hygiene, school, sensory needs and emotional regulation. We involve siblings and the family’s wider networks to improve resilience and reduce stress. Crisis intervention and intensive in-home support prevents children and young people from relationship breakdowns.
