Companionship.
Our Companionship Service responds to the needs of The UK’s Loneliness Strategy which recognises the relationship between loneliness and major health conditions including heart disease, strokes and dementia. This support provides meaningful relationships that help reduce loneliness, build confidence and enable people to live the lives they choose both at home and in their community.
Many people can benefit from a companionship service including those with long‑term health conditions, those recovering from illness or recently discharged from hospital or those living with learning disabilities, autism or sensory needs.
We work closely with families, social workers, housing providers and community partners to ensure support is safe, personalised and aligned with wider care plans.
